Wasshoi Hyakuman Summer Festival
The Wasshoi Hyakuman Summer Festival began in 1988 on the 25th anniversary of Kitakyushu’s establishment as a municipality.
Starting with the “Boat Heaven” expo held on Ocean Day (July 20) in the Mojiko Retro, visitors will find a myriad of events to enjoy at the main event in the city, from the various Yamakasa displays at the “Summer Festival Roundup” to the “Hyakuman Odori” dance of around 10 thousand participants, and, of course, the grand finale: a display of nearly 3,000 fireworks!
*Charged Seating: Chairs (2,300 available) - 800 Yen in advance or 1,000 Yen same day per chair; Bleacher Seats (350 available) - 1,500 Yen per seat
