Motsu Hot Pot Restaurant “Anza”
At “Anza”, diners can have Motsu Nabe (hot pot) cooked with the tripe of Japanese black cattle from Kagoshima in the relaxed atmosphere of the black-themed interior. The restaurant is close to Hakata Station, and most of its patrons are from other prefectures.
There are three kinds of soups: soy sauce, sesame miso, and salty miso. The soy sauce soup is lightly seasoned, while the kick of the salty miso soup is popular among women. The firm tripe is cut into larger pieces, making it quite filling.
What diners really look forward to is the rice porridge with the leftover soup after the main course! With options like the “Black Bamboo Charcoal Rice Porridge” (450 Yen; contains bamboo charcoal and a lots of black sesame seeds) and the “Healthy Soymilk Risotto” (450 Yen; with soymilk from Kyoto and cheese), and more, the fun lasts to the end!
Anza has an abundant selection of sake only available in Kyushu for diners to enjoy, including rare shochu (distilled spirit).
