Japanese Style Inn “Kashima Honkan”
Japanese Style Inn “Kashima Honkan” is a traditional inn that was the first thing in Fukuoka City ever to be designated as a Tangible Cultural Asset by the government. Even though it is located in the center of bustling Hakata, it retains its original building and welcomes guests with a relaxing, gentle atmosphere. Everything in the inn serves to comfort the guests from the lobby filled with the romance of the Taisho Era (1912 - 1926) to Japanese-style rooms made in “Sukiya” (tea house) style and the graceful Japanese garden. Dinners like Kaiseki course meals and Motsu (tripe) Hot Pot can be prepared to accommodate guests’ tastes. Guests can also select either a Japanese or western-style breakfast.
