Hakata Onsen Ryokan Fuji-no-En
Founded in 1972, Hakata Onsen Ryokan Fuji-no-En is a long-established ryokan beloved by hot spring enthusiasts for its dedication to truly natural onsen waters. Although located conveniently close to central Fukuoka City, the inn is committed to gensen kakenagashi—pure spring water flowing directly from the source, without dilution, heating, or circulation.
The on-site spring emerges at around 45°C, slightly on the hotter side, with an abundant flow of approximately 100 liters per minute. Both the indoor and open-air large baths are completely drained and refilled every day, allowing guests to soak in fresh, newly drawn waters. The spring water is also drinkable (in-sen), and its lotion-like, silky texture is known for leaving skin feeling smooth and refreshed after bathing.
In addition to the hot spring facilities, the building offers guest rooms and a dining area. Accommodation plans range from room-only stays to breakfast included and two-meal options. Guests staying overnight are especially encouraged to enjoy the first bath of the morning, when the indoor bath is freshly filled.
