A long-loved ryokan founded in 1972.
Even though it’s located in Minami-ku, Fukuoka City—close to the urban center—it’s cherished by onsen fans for its commitment to free-flowing water straight from the source, with no added water, heating, or circulation.
The source temperature is about 45°C, and the volume is abundant at around 100 liters per minute.
Both the indoor and open-air baths in the large public bath area use a complete daily water replacement system, so you can enjoy fresh water each day.
Drinking the onsen water is also possible.
The water feels light and smooth, with qualities often compared to lotion—leaving skin feeling pleasantly soft after bathing.
In addition to the bathing facility, the building includes accommodation and a dining area.
For stays, you can choose from room-only, breakfast included, or two-meal plans.
If you stay overnight, an early-morning soak—nicknamed the “Ikki-buro,” when the bath is filled all at once—is especially recommended.
