In additional to standard sports facilities such as multipurpose fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, and jogging lanes, this comprehensive park offers a forest of cherry trees, an insect forest, a public plaza, and other areas where visitors can be close to nature year-round. Except for the sports facilities, admission is free, so the park is bustling with parents & children on the weekends. The children particularly like the giant adventure playground shaped like a giant beetle formed from many different types of playground equipment; it has become a mascot of sorts for the park. The park grounds and its wealth of flowers are also carefully tended, with safety considerations paramount. Bring some box lunches and enjoy a casual picnic!
