Three restaurants where you can enjoy Muslim cuisine in Fukuoka

This section features Muslim-friendly shops in Fukuoka Prefecture! There are also restaurants where you can enjoy Halal-certified Japanese black beef, sashimi made with fresh seafood, and Fukuoka's famous motsunabe (hotpot of beef offal and vegetables)! We also recommend stopping by a cafe that is popular for its galette and other sweets.

  • [Hakata Uokura at Miyako Hotel] The place to go for Kyushu wagyu beef and fresh fish!-0

This restaurant offering Japanese cuisine is located close to Hakata Station. It uses Halal-certified meat and seasonings that do not contain pork or alcohol, and a menu with photographs of the food items is also available, so it is a popular restaurant patronized by many Muslim tourists.

A must-try item is the top quality Japanese kuroge wagyu beef raised in Kyushu. It is served piping hot on an Arita-ware ceramic plate from Saga. The fillet steak, grilled to perfection, goes well with the ginger sauce made with soy sauce! The hamburger steak and yakisuki (meat cooked on a hot iron plate) are also available as set meals that come with rice.

We recommend sharing the 10 types of sashimi (omakase otsukuri, a platter of assorted sashimi chosen by the chef) with a group. You can revel in the luxury of fresh fish, caught mainly from Kyushu, such as spotted chub mackerel and blackthroat seaperch.

The crispy fried chicken, prepared with Kyushu soy sauce, is also a popular dish with Muslim diners.
The spacious restaurant is bustling with customers throughout the day.

[Motsunabe KIWAMIYA, Fukuoka Akasaka Branch] Fukuoka's soul food has obtained Halal certification

  • [Motsunabe KIWAMIYA, Fukuoka Akasaka Branch] Fukuoka's soul food has obtained Halal certification-0

KIWAMIYA is the first restaurant in the world to serve Halal-certified versions of Fukuoka's famous motsunabe, a hotpot made with wagyu beef offal and vegetables. This dish is nutritional and packed with flavor, and is so delicious that Muslims living in Fukuoka have become regular customers of the restaurant!
You can choose from two soup variations: a fragrant soup made with Rausu kombu kelp from Hokkaido and a whole grilled flying fish from Nagasaki, or a chilli pepper miso soup.

In addition to motsunabe, there are also customers who come specially for the Halal-certified kuroge wagyu steaks and hamburgers.
Fried chicken and soy milk cream daifuku (a Japanese rice cake confection with a sweet filling) are also popular among Muslim customers.

[NONGLUTEN CAFE 8302] Breakfast, and even sweets! A cafe menu that is good for your health

  • [NONGLUTEN CAFE 8302] Breakfast, and even sweets! A cafe menu that is good for your health-0

The owner of this cafe is a fan of the non-gluten rice flour, Yanokuni Junshin Rice Flour. The cafe opens at 8:00 a.m., making it the perfect spot for breakfast. There is also a wide selection of dishes that incorporate seasonings without pork or alcohol.

The galettes, made from rice flour, are baked carefully one by one. They are crispy and savory on the outside and chewy on the inside! Enjoy this exquisite contrast of textures.

The salmon and cream cheese, prawns and avocado, and other ingredients look healthy, but they are also satisfying as the galettes are made with rice flour.

The crispy rice flour waffles are sandwiched with shiratama (sweet rice dumplings), anko (sweet red bean paste) and whipped cream. You are sure to become addicted to these original sweets, which can only be found here.
