Home of Hina Dolls / Yame Bonbori (Paper Lantern) Festival
雛の里・八女ぼんぼりまつり
Yame City is the birthplace of boxed hina dolls and has a long tradition of crafting hina dolls. Centered around the white-walled streets of Yame Fukushima, hina dolls are displayed in shops and homes, filling the entire town with festive Hina decorations. On weekends, events such as markets and wedding ceremonies are held.
