Let's try noodle-making in Ukiha City, one of Kyushu's three major noodle-making areas, where the air and water are both delicious!

Ukiha City is known as one of the three major noodle production areas in Kyushu. Ukiha City, known as one of Kyushu's three major noodle production centers, has long been a center for somen noodle production, thanks to its clean water and climate with large temperature differences, which are ideal for dried noodle production.
Kuriki Shoten Chikugo Tezukuri Mura, established in 1897, uses subterranean water from the Mino Mountain Range to make its noodles. Visitors can observe the production process at the dry noodle, fresh noodle, and fried noodle (instant ramen) factories, and the noodle-making workshop where visitors can make their own ramen, soba, and udon noodles is very popular. The taste of the noodles you make yourself is superb, and families and groups can join in the fun. At the restaurant, visitors can sample the noodles made at the factory. The store sells noodles that can only be tasted here, such as fresh pasta made from Mino wheat and other local ingredients, and fresh ramen noodles made from wheat developed by Fukuoka Prefecture for ramen noodles.

*Factory tours and noodle-making experiences are available by reservation only, so please call directly for more information.
*Factory tours, lunch, boxed lunches, and noodle-making experience are not available in 2022 due to prevention of the spread of corona infection.
