一本松公園(昭和の森)

Popular spot for families to camp, barbecue and play in the river.

Forest Nature Park, located at an altitude of 300 m at the foot of Sangunsan (Mt Sangun). Sangunsan and Houmansan, and is visited by many climbers throughout the year.
The park has been selected as one of the 100 best places for forest bathing in Fukuoka Prefecture, and is a relaxing spot where visitors can play in the river in summer. Visitors can enjoy the colours of the four seasons, such as cherry blossoms, Tsukushi rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, fireflies in summer, autumn leaves in autumn and camellias in winter.
The Shojo-Bakamama colony and the large cranes of the Goradani valley are very worth seeing.

Camping and bungalow facilities are available and the area is crowded with families and groups during the season. Bungalows are usually available for rent from July to September each year (reservation required and charged), and facilities such as cooking areas, wells and toilets can be used free of charge. Tents can be brought in all year round. You can freely enjoy the area without reservations.

*Bungalows are not available for rent in 2022 to prevent the spread of new coronavirus infections.
