Ipponmatsu Park (Showa Forest)
一本松公園(昭和の森)
Popular spot for families to camp, barbecue and play in the river.
Forest Nature Park, located at an altitude of 300 m at the foot of Sangunsan (Mt Sangun). Sangunsan and Houmansan, and is visited by many climbers throughout the year.
The park has been selected as one of the 100 best places for forest bathing in Fukuoka Prefecture, and is a relaxing spot where visitors can play in the river in summer. Visitors can enjoy the colours of the four seasons, such as cherry blossoms, Tsukushi rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, fireflies in summer, autumn leaves in autumn and camellias in winter.
The Shojo-Bakamama colony and the large cranes of the Goradani valley are very worth seeing.
It is also popular as a campground, bustling with families and groups during the season. Facilities such as cooking areas, wells, and toilets are available for free use, and tents can be brought in throughout the year.You can freely enjoy the area without reservations.
