Kurume Water Festival

水の祭典久留米まつり

The Kurume Water Festival takes place from August 3 to 5 every year. The venues are Meiji Street and Rokkakudo Plaza, which are located in the center of Kurume. The festival features various events on Meiji Street, such as marching bands, street performances, and the “Abacus General Dance” with 10 thousand participants! One of the largest fireworks displays in western Japan, the Chikugo River Fireworks Display wraps up the festival!
