Beautiful one million poppies swaying in the early summer breeze! Ajisaka's proud flower garden

About 1 million poppies blooming all over the vast site look like a carpet of pink. The Ajisaka Poppy Garden began when the Ajisaka 21 Association, a citizens' group, planted poppy seeds in the fallow fields of its members in an effort to revitalize the Ajisaka area of Ogori City. Every year, the poppies are carefully nurtured by the members, and from late April to mid-May, when the poppies are at their best, the area is crowded with people.
The "Poppy Festival" is held in conjunction with this time of year, selling local specialties and boxed lunches, and providing a relaxing picnic atmosphere. Wearing comfortable walking clothes such as athletic shoes is recommended.
