Senju-in Falls from the Legend of the Heike

平家伝説の千寿院の滝

It’s in Sefuri Raizan Prefectural Natural Park. The area is known as the village of the fallen Heike (family also called Taira who were defeated in the Genpei War). These are the falls where the wife of Taira no Shigemori, Senhime, and Fukuhime played in the water. It is cool in the summer and the surrounding nature and maple trees are also beautiful, with new green leaves in spring and changing colors in autumn.
