Ohori Park Japan Garden "SORA"

大濠公園 日本庭園 宙SORA

A new sensory art event that merges a traditional Japanese garden with cutting-edge digital technology has arrived at Ohori Park! From around sunset until 22:00, projection mapping is displayed throughout the garden, creating a unique world composed of eight immersive scenes. Enjoy a cool summer evening and experience an enriched “night-time economy.”

< Event Details >

(1) Rinne – Hologram × Bamboo Lights (West Gate / Entrance)
A mystical space created by projecting images onto a hologram screen combined with bamboo lanterns. After a ritual-like scene where a shrine maiden rings bells to purify visitors, walking through the “Circle of Water” transports you into another world.

(2) Shoryu – Projection Mapping on the Karesansui Garden
Images of shimmering water surfaces featuring the moon, koi fish, and flowers are projected onto the sand patterns of the dry landscape garden.

(3) Senko – Guiding Flashes of Light (Path beside Lower Pond)
Over 40 LED tube lights flash in sequence, creating a dynamic scene where streaks of light weave through the shadows, building anticipation and curiosity.

(4) Sora – Main Show with Large Projectors, Laser Effects & Artificial Mist (Upper Pond)
A hologram screen placed on the pond displays a dancer in traditional Japanese attire. Lasers and artificial cloud-like mist synchronize to create an immersive world of light and imagery.

(5) Kaichu – 5-meter Moon Installation (Upper Pond / Suhama Area)
An installation combining the sea and moon. The stepping stones invite interactive play, offering not only a visual experience but hands-on enjoyment.

(6) Kyomei – Sound-Interactive Light Show (Azumaya Pavilion)
Spherical lights hanging from the pavilion change patterns according to visitors’ clapping rhythms. Forest lights also react, creating a space-wide interactive light performance.

(7) Tenki – Light Installations in the Forest (Garden Forest Area)
A geometric lighting area using LEDs deep in the garden’s forest. It forms a photogenic exploration route perfect for strolling and taking pictures.

(8) Mugen – Laser Light Experience (Garden Forest Area)
Tens of thousands of laser beams create firefly-like glows, guiding visitors into a mystical world. Its overwhelming scale offers an infinite-feeling space experienced through all five senses.
