Moriyama Sake Brewery

This is the only sake brewery in Ogori, boasting a history of over 100 years since its establishment during the Taisho period. Here you can purchase Daiginjo, Junmai, and Honjozo sakes produced by local Ogori brewer Tsuki-no-Katsura. Their Narazuke pickles and old-fashioned, nostalgic handmade “ice candies” loved by the locals. We also recommend the Fresh Amazake, handmade without using heat, which is offered in a size easy to take home with you. On the first weekend of April every year, they hold a festival and open up the brewery to the public to celebrate their new sakes, and the brewery bustles with many customers.
