Chikugo's center for art and cultural exchange located in front of the "Station in the Park" station.

The Chikugo Wide-Area Park Art and Culture Exchange Facility (nicknamed "Kyushu Geibunkan") is located in front of Chikugo Funakoya Station on the Kyushu Shinkansen Line, which is attracting attention as the nation's first "station in a park. Surrounded by the nature of Chikugo Wide-Area Park, the largest prefectural park in the prefecture, the building is characterized by its slanted roof. The impactful building was designed by Kengo Kuma, a world-renowned architect and one of the designers of the National Stadium.
Inside and outside, artworks are on display, including an ancient mural art wall created with the full cooperation of the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, and monuments created by Hakata doll maker Shinkyo Nakamura and German artist Ingo Günther.

With the keywords of "art and culture," "experience," and "exchange," exhibitions and events are held throughout the year to introduce a variety of art forms from Japan and abroad as well as from the Chikugo region, and hands-on classes and workshops are offered for children and adults alike. It serves as a base for exchanges and information dissemination through art and culture.
