Don To Kagashi(Scarecrow) Festival (Chikuzen Town)

ど~んとかがし祭(筑前町)

The largest-ever giant straw scarecrow makes its appearance! Fireworks will also be launched at various locations throughout the town.

This festival is held to give thanks for the blessings of nature in Chikuzen Town and to celebrate the harvest. In addition to the iconic giant straw scarecrow—an annual tradition and symbol of the festival—visitors can enjoy stage performances, a local market, food stalls, and even hands-on experiences such as operating a fire pump. On the eve of the festival, fireworks will light up the night sky. The illuminated giant straw scarecrow paired with the fireworks is truly a breathtaking sight.
