Ohori-Unkai

大濠雲海

~The largest artificial sea of clouds in Kyushu.

The Ohori Park Japanese Garden was designed by Nakane Fusekaku, famous for designing the gardens at the Atfoot Museum of Art in Shimane Prefecture and Nijo Castle in Kyoto Prefecture. The garden will be the stage for Kyushu's largest artificial sea of clouds, produced by world-renowned garden designer Kazuyuki Ishihara, which will create a fantastic space and a mystical world floating on the surface of the lake.
In addition, visitors can enjoy a different kind of Japanese garden with projection mapping in the Karesansui (dry landscape garden) area and the lighting up of the Japanese pines.

Also, for a limited time only, "Ohiru no Ohori Unkai" is being held. The sight of the entire upper pond in the garden being covered in fog is breathtaking!
If it is noon, the view from the slightly elevated pavilions (2 locations) is recommended; the sea of clouds appears every 30 minutes from 9:30 to 16:30. You can enjoy the different aspects of the Ohori Sea of Clouds at noon and night. Please come and see the spectacular view created by the fusion of traditional gardens and current technology.

You can enter "Ohori Sea of Clouds at noon" for the regular fee of the Japanese Garden.
