Yuikirara Lantern Festival

ゆいきらら とうろう祭

A magical fusion of lantern lights and traditional kagura dance! Featuring fireworks for the very first time.

The much-loved Lantern Festival is held every year at Nishitomoeda Experience Exchange Center Yuikirara. The venue will be illuminated with a magical glow from bamboo lanterns handcrafted by local supporters and residents, paper lanterns created by Tomoeda Elementary School children, and decorative lanterns made by art club students from junior high schools in Nakatsu City.
On stage, you can enjoy a variety of performances including traditional kagura dance, Japanese taiko drumming, dance shows, and even the dramatic Chinese face-changing act.
In 2025, the festival will feature a special highlight: a fireworks display for the very first time! A thousand fireworks will light up the autumn night sky in a breathtaking grand finale.

At the same time, the Autumn Harvest Festival will be held, where local producers sell freshly pounded rice cakes, new rice, seasonal produce, and more directly to visitors. Food stalls will also be set up, offering delicious local specialties such as rice balls made with new rice, sushi, wild boar hot pot, yakisoba, and yakitori.
