The Fukutomi district of Ukiha City is located on the south side of the town of Yoshii, renowned for its Yoshii Gane. Historic buildings in this area, such as thatched-roof farmhouses, have been carefully restored and repurposed. Visitors will have the opportunity to stay in traditional Japanese houses that evoke a Japanese way of life in harmony with the four seasons as they enjoy a variety of activities, including fruit picking and forest therapy.

<Activities>
■Fruit-picking activities
Ukiha City is renowned for its persimmons and other fruits. Peaches, grapes, pears, persimmons, and more can be picked all year round, excluding the winter season.

■Experience nature
Visitors can immerse themselves in forest therapy sessions surrounded by lush woodlands that epitomizes the Minoh Mountain Range. A variety of experiences are available to help guests feel healthier both in body and in mind. There is also a wide range of activities for outdoor enthusiasts, such as mountain biking and canoeing.

<Stay>
Accommodations include “Kifune,” a renovated historic residence with a tasteful restaurant, “Ikuha,” a machiya townhouse, and “Goen,” an uninhabited traditional private residence. Kifune also features a campground, which can be used for family farming and outdoor activities. The renovation of historic private homes like these is ongoing, with the possibility of more opening in the near future.
