Mannengame Shuzo Co. Ltd

萬年亀酒造株式会社

Established in 1892. Their flagship product is ”Kohaku-no-Tsubuyaki”, which is made with brown rice.
Brown rice is said to be a ’treasure trove’ of nutrition, and this product maintains the flavor and strength of the brown rice, which is hand-squeezed using the natural water of the Kuju Water system. It’s a ”healthy sake”, so even if you get drunk on it, you’ll sober up very quickly. Recommended for drinking while having a meal, it can be matched to your preferences and body conditions, served on the rocks, or mixed with water/soda. You will definitely want to try this, as the strong taste of 100% fermented brown rice is totally different from Daiginjo sake. Among the figs produced in Fukuoka Prefecture, the sweetest are the ”Toyomitsuhime” which are used as ingredients for the liqueur ”Ichijiku Toyomitsuhime”. This liqueur is highly popular with women for its nostalgic and gentle sweetness. Fig liqueur is very rare in Japan, which makes it perfect for a souvenir or present. Every year from April to December the cellars are opened to the public, so visitors can enjoy learning about Japanese sake manufacturing and taste-testing.
