Aoki Onsen

あおき温泉

Standing quietly amid peaceful rural scenery along National Route 385, Aoki Onsen is a hidden day-use onsen facility beloved by onsen enthusiasts.Opened in 2003 and renewed in 2020, it has steadily earned support as a lesser-known gem.
Its greatest commitment is its 100% free-flowing onsen, with no added water. The 65°C source is carefully adjusted to a comfortable bathing temperature through a heat exchanger before flowing generously into the baths. The indoor bath is divided into two tubs with different temperatures—around 43°C near the source inlet, gradually becoming milder as you move away.
The onsen is known for its slightly slippery, distinctive feel, leaving skin moist and smooth after bathing. The water appears yellowish in the morning and lightens by evening—another charm unique to natural onsen.
The facility is kept meticulously clean throughout, ensuring a pleasant and comfortable stay.
