Hiroki Oda Museum of Art

嘉麻市立織田廣喜美術館

This beautiful art museum in red and white is located on the top of a hill surrounded by greenery. This is the only museum featuring permanent exhibits of the works of Hiroki Oda.

This art museum holds a permanent exhibit of the works of Hiroki Oda (1914 to 2012), an artist native to the area, who was a leading figure in the world of western style  painting in Japan. Visitors will learn of the artist’s versatility by viewing the galleries arranged in chronological order and the works using various different media.
Other exhibits include a special exhibit in summer, a traveling prefectural exhibit in fall, and a collection exhibit in the springtime. No matter when or how many times you visit, you will always make new discoveries and be soothed by the artwork.
