Iizuka Hina Doll Festival
いいづか雛のまつり
A wide variety of Hina dolls, including Zashiki Hina (room-sized displays) and Hako Hina (box-style dolls), are exhibited throughout the city.
At 15 venues, including the Former Ito Denemon Residence and shopping streets around the city, creatively arranged Hina dolls and decorations are displayed to celebrate Hinamatsuri (the Peach Festival).
At the main venue, the Former Ito Denemon Residence, the site opens at night on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays during the event period, with special illuminations creating a magical atmosphere.
In addition, on Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays, and March 3 (Tue), visitors can enjoy the “Living Hina” costume experience, where you can dress up as the Emperor or Empress dolls.
The dressing is quick and easy for anyone, and taking commemorative photos is highly recommended!
(Adults: 500 yen / Under 18: 300 yen. Admission fee not included.)
A photo contest will also be held during the festival.
Take photos of the Hina dolls at the venues and submit your best shots.
Selected photos may be featured in next year’s brochures or official website.
