Kouno-yu Onsen

こうの湯温泉

Beloved by onsen enthusiasts, Kouno-yu Onsen sits beside Kononike Pond near Yagiyama, often called the inner retreat of Chikuho.
Its defining feature is a cold mineral spring rich in natural radon.
It’s said that bathing may help with skin concerns, inhaling the steam may benefit the respiratory system, and drinking the water may aid digestion—supporting well-being from every angle.
The spacious indoor bath offers an abundant water supply, with a slightly shallow design that makes long, relaxed soaks especially comfortable.
Facilities also include a garden-view cold bath, ganbanyoku and steam baths that rotate weekly by gender, and a dry sauna.
For complete privacy, a single reservable private bath is available for an additional fee, with advance reservations recommended due to its popularity.
