Michi-no-Eki Ootou Sakura Kaidou Illumination

The Michi-no-Eki Ootou Sakura Kaidou, one of the largest roadside stations in western Japan, features an impressive winter illumination with approximately 650,000 lights, making it a seasonal highlight of Ootou Town. Each year, the decorations are themed differently, with the theme kept secret until the lighting ceremony.

During the event period, numerous food stalls are set up, allowing visitors to enjoy local gourmet treats while taking in the spectacular illuminations.
