Chikushino Municipal Dragon Rock Nature House

Holidays in the cool mountains. Try the popular sport climbing!

This outdoor activity facility is located in Chikushino City, which is full of mountains and spots where visitors can experience nature. The aim is to nurture independence and creativity through experiences such as nature observation, and to cultivate a mind and attitude that values nature.
Surrounded by great nature such as Mount Ondechi, Mount Homan and Mount Sangoriyama, it is also a base for climbing each of these mountains. Another attraction is that campsites and log cabins are available at reasonable prices. Barbecues can also be enjoyed if you bring your own food. Enjoy nature in all seasons, from the 150-year-old cherry trees in spring, to the clear waters of the Houman River in summer, and the autumn leaves in autumn.
A wide variety of courses are held throughout the year, including mountaineering and bird-watching classes, and sports climbing classes are also held in the Play Dome.
A festival called Dragon Rock Festa offers a variety of hands-on events and is usually crowded with people of all ages.
