Onga River Iizuka Fireworks Display
飯塚納涼花火大会
A Summer Tradition in Iizuka!
First held in 1922 (Taishō 11), the Iizuka Summer Fireworks Festival has a long history and is a beloved summer tradition in Iizuka, attracting around 100,000 visitors every year. Highlights include large-scale displays such as the “Niagara Falls” fireworks, along with spectacular set pieces that light up the night sky. The festival grounds bustle with numerous food stalls, making this one of the biggest summer events in the Chikuhō region.
To avoid the effects of extreme summer heat, the festival will be held at a different time in 2025.
*Please refrain from sitting on the levee road or spreading out sheets to watch the fireworks.
*Temporary traffic restrictions will be enforced by police around the venue.
