Dazaifu Manyo experience in the capital of Reiwa

令和の都 だざいふ万葉体験

“Reiwa Manyo Grand Tea Ceremony 2024” in Dazaifu” will be held on February 10th.
In conjunction with this event, the following sightseeing events will be held.

Plum Blossom Banquet Reenactment Event
1)    Manyo Plum Blossom Party Reenactment (from 12:30 p.m.).
Dazaifu is the site of the "Plum Blossom Banquet," where a poem from the Manyoshu, the oldest anthology of Japanese poetry, which is the origin of the word "Reiwa”, was sung. The festival will recreate the appearance of that period in the present day, dressed in Manyoshu costumes.
2)    Manyo Costume Parade (from 2:30 p.m.)
Participants will wear Manyo costumes and parade along the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine.
3) Lecture (doors open 15:45, lecture 16:00-18:30)
A special lecture will be held in conjunction with the "Reiwa Manyo Grand Tea Ceremony 2024” in Dazaifu”.
We hope that a wide range of public and tourists will come to see this event.
