Hakata Yu

博多湯

Futsukaichi Onsen has a 1,300-year history. It was called "Suita-no-yu" in the olden days, and has been busy since the days when the Dazaifu government office was located there. Hakata Yu" was established in 1860. Since then, it has warmly welcomed many people. The building has a tasteful three-story wooden structure, and the second floor is open to the public as a rest room. The pride of the spa is the quality of the spring water, which has been gushing out unceasingly since ancient times. The spring water, never watered or heated, is pumped up from 260 m underground and poured freshly into the bathtub without being exposed to the air. The high temperature, pleasant sulfur aroma, and radon-containing water has been said to be good for our moist and beautiful skin.
