Futsukaichi Hachimangu Shrine

Futsukaichi Hachimangu Shrine is located in Chikushino City, adjacent to Dazaifu City, about a 3-minute walk from Futsukaichi Station on the JR Kagoshima Main Line. Many ginkgo trees are planted within the precincts, including the ``Ginkgo'' tree, which is a designated natural monument of Chikushino City and is also a sacred tree. The ginkgo leaves turn a beautiful golden color every year, soothing and entertaining the hearts of those who see them. Surrounded 360 degrees by ginkgo trees, it looks fantastic when lit up.
It is also worth seeing how the fallen leaves cover the grounds like a yellow carpet.
The Ginkgo Festival is held every November, and with the concept of "sound, light, town and people," you can enjoy the beauty of the ginkgo trees with all five senses while listening to koto and drum performances. We also have events and shops for children, so please stop by!
