[Futsukaichi Onsen] Daikanso
【二日市温泉】大観荘
Futsukaichi Onsen has a history of 1,300 years, and its hot springs are even mentioned in the Manyoshu. At “Daikansō,” you can enjoy this quiet and elegant historic hot spring. The natural free-flowing, mildly alkaline simple hot spring is said to be effective for rheumatism, joint pain, and relieving fatigue. Family baths and a stone sauna (fee required, reservation system) are also available.
Guests can relax in traditional Japanese-style rooms and enjoy exquisite kaiseki cuisine prepared with great skill by the head chef. The inn is also close to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and the Kyushu National Museum, making it an ideal place to stay while exploring the area’s cultural heritage.
