Plum blossoms at Yakiyama Arboretum

八木山花木園の梅

A hidden spot for viewing plum and cherry blossoms from late February to March.

The Yagiyama Arboretum was established through a flower and tree planting project from 1982 to 1983 and donations collected in 1994. The garden covers an area of approximately 60,000 square meters, with some 10,230 flowering trees planted.
The garden features a variety of flowers and trees throughout the four seasons, including Japanese apricots, mountain cherry blossoms, hydrangeas, azaleas, camellias, rengeyou, and setsuryu. From early February to early March, approximately 840 red and white plum trees are in full bloom, attracting visitors to view the plum blossoms. Visitors can fully enjoy the beauty of nature and the wonderful scenery in the fresh air of the mountains.

The blooming time is subject to change depending on the weather and other factors. Please confirm the blooming time before visiting.
Please drive carefully as the roads in the area are narrow in places.
