Ashiya Beach, Leisure Pool Aquasian

芦屋海水浴場・レジャープールアクアシアン

Enjoy the sea, pool, and marine sports while enjoying beautiful views.

The beautiful Ashiya coast features vast sandy beaches facing the shallow Hibiki-nada Sea. In summertime, a one kilometer section of the beach opens as a swimming area.
This swimming area is one of the best in northern Kyushu. The ideal location, featuring white sandy beaches and clear blue skies, offers a view of Sanri Matsubara that was selected as one of the top beach locations in Japan that feature both sandy beaches and green pine trees. Visitors can swim in safety during the season because lifeguards are stationed there.
The site is also equipped with beachside shops, showers, and toilets.
The facility is also adjacent to the Leisure Pool Aqua Cyan. There is a dedicated passage to move freely between the pool and swimming area, so you can enjoy both at the same time! Here both children and adults can spend an entire day of fun. In addition to the longest water slide in the prefecture, at 126 meters, there are also facilities for children such as the Flowing Pool featuring waterfalls and mist, and the Children’s Adventure Pool.
In the fall, the facility hosts the Ashiya Sand Sculpture Exhibition, where sand sculptures come from around the world to create their works. Other services available include rental bicycles and cycling tours featuring a tourist guide that require reservations in advance.
