南国を想わせるハマボウ

It is a rare flower that likes brackish water areas (mixed salt water and fresh water). About 600 of the bright yellow flowers reminiscent of the tropics bloom from the middle of July to the beginning of August at the mouth of the Daikon River (common name: Kazurugawa estuary) in Koga city. At that time, in Kazurugahama Park near the mouth of the river, ”Hamabo Festival” is held.
