Clam Festival

しじみ祭り

The town of Oto is known as a place to find clams. ”Clean one clam with one cup of water” is the phrase used by the locals! This festival started in 1987 (Showa 62) and has continued to this day! Only on this day, can one enter the river and catch clams! There are many events besides this as well! This festival is enjoyed by all age groups!
