Keya Kazedome Sumo

芥屋風止め相撲

With ”Hassaku festival” held on August 1 (old calender), one of the shinto rituals ”Kazedome Sumo match”is held to pray for huge harvest and preventation of damage from tyhoons.　 The boys who experience Hassaku for the first time wear a Sumo costume and a headband of red and white. They are cuddled with adult sumo wreslers and enter the ring. The adorable manner of the boys is one of the main attractions.

Access	Get off at JR Chikuhi Line Susenji Station, it takes 8 minutes by a community bus Kawahara Line. After getting off the bus, it is 5minutes walk.
