Running around the tourist spots of Kitakyushu, there are a full marathon of the Japan Athletic Federation and AIMS official course, half and half pairs’ relay marathon, and 3km and 5km fun runs. Finishers of the full marathon receive a gorgeous medal designed by the manga artist Reiji Matsumoto and traditional Kokuraori cloth ribbon which was loved by Ieyasu Tokugawa.

Event date: every year on the 3rd Sunday in February (planned)
