Kokura Illumination

The “Kokura Illumination” brightens up the winter streets of Kokura. Large stores, shopping arcades, and companies come together to illuminate the Kokura city center, including the area around Kokura Station and the banks of the Murasaki River, with colorful and enchanting lights. During the period, many events are also held nearby, making it a beloved winter tradition of Kitakyushu that warms the hearts of families, couples, and friends alike just by strolling through the city.
