As the evening breeze transforms Yanagawa into a scene unlike its daytime charm, enjoy a special experience aboard the Akari-bune (Lantern Boat), a nighttime moat cruise. This fully reservation-only cruise takes you on a leisurely journey along approximately 4 km of beautifully illuminated moats, specially lit for the occasion. Don't miss the opportunity to experience the enchanting atmosphere of Yanagawa by night.

Boarding Location
In front of the Karatachi Literary Footbath
The cruise follows the Inner Moat (Nobori) Course. The cruise ends at the boat landing in the north parking area of Yanagawa Hakuryuso.

Capacity
Up to 15 passengers per boat. Groups of 16 or more will be accommodated on multiple boats.

Reservations
Shared Boat: Apply by 4:00 p.m. on the day of boarding at a participating accommodation of the Yanagawa–Okawa Ryokan Association.
Private Charter Boat: Reserve by phone using the contact information below (advance reservations accepted).

Food & Drinks
Guests may bring beverages and light snacks. Meals are permitted only on private charter boats.

Please take all trash with you when you leave.
