10th Anniversary of KPF – Anime Classics: Anison Fireworks in Kitakyushu

A New Entertainment Experience Fusing Legendary Anime, Japanese Fireworks Culture, and Iconic Anime Songs – “Anime Classics Anison Fireworks” Comes to Kitakyushu!

The third installment of the Anime Classics Anison Fireworks series will be held in Kitakyushu, combining legendary Japanese anime, Japan’s world-renowned fireworks culture, and unforgettable anime songs (anison) in a whole new form of entertainment.
As a pre-event for the Kitakyushu Pop Culture Festival (KPF), one of Kyushu’s largest manga and anime celebrations (taking place on November 15–16, 2025), this special performance brings together beloved anime characters from different studios, including Dynamic Planning, Tatsunoko Production, and Tezuka Productions. Their iconic opening and ending themes—catchy and nostalgic for longtime fans, yet fresh for younger audiences—create a unique entertainment experience that resonates across generations.
A giant stadium screen will maximize the power of both visuals and sound, immersing you in an experience that feels as if you’ve stepped inside the anime itself.

Before the main show, enjoy special events including a cosplay photo session by “Team Kura-Kosu”, a group of popular gravure idols dressed as legendary anime characters, formed exclusively for Anime Classics. There will also be a special stage where renowned anison singer Azumi Inoue performs with local children. Later in the main program, Inoue will be joined by her daughter Yuyu, delivering live performances of beloved Studio Ghibli songs from “My Neighbor Totoro” and “Castle in the Sky”. As these timeless melodies play alongside unforgettable anime scenes on screen, the magical world of Ghibli unfolds before your eyes.
