Wooden Goddess of Mercy

木造十一面観音

This wooden Goddess of Mercy statue was registered as a National Designated Important Cultural Property in 1903 (Meiji 37). This statue is affectionately called Hasekannon by the locals who come and worship her. The feature of this statue is that it was made from 1 piece of timber and has a height of 185cm.
