Kiyomizuyama Peony Garden (Miyama City)

Located halfway up Mt. Kiyomizu, this is one of the largest peony gardens in Kyushu. It was established through the joint efforts of the town and local residents, aiming to create a tourist destination befitting Setaka Town, known as the “Land of Himiko.” In the strolling-style garden of about 3,000 square meters, around 2,500 peony plants of 80 varieties bloom in profusion, creating an especially stunning景観.
