Mt. Koshosan where giant jewel stinkbugs live

ニシキキンカメムシが生息する 古処山

Near the summit there is a virgin forest that is designated as a special natural monument; in this forest there is a near-threatened species of insect called the giant jewel stinkbug. From late July to early August you can also see lycoris flowers of the amaryllis family.
Yuujin-no-mori Campground ~ Umasemeba ~ Mt.Koshasan Summit ~ Oku-no-in Taishoin ~ Yuujin-no-mori Campground. The total walking time is 2 hours. Altitude 860m.
