Omuta City Zoo

大牟田市動物園

”Experiences and encounters between humans and animals” is this zoo’s theme, and visitors here can enjoy seeing rabbits, goats etc., as well as squirrel monkey cages and kangaroo cages. They have the largest bird cage in Western Japan, when you go inside it is like going into another world of birds. There is a wild animal house where you can observe lions and tigers from behind the safety of reinforced glass. The 45000㎡ premises are home to around 600 animals of 100 different species.
