1. Dynamic tunnel (simulated mine shaft): Experience the operation of a coal mine in a shaft 400m beneath the Ariake Sea. See the impressive array of real mining machinery firsthand, including a giant coal digging machine and an electric locomotive to convey coal.
2. Moving Image Hall: Watch short movies about Omuta City’s modernization heritage and learn the history and important events that shaped the Japan’s largest coal mining town, Omuta. There are three programs: 16, 20, and 40 minutes long.
3. Let’s Experiment with Energy: Learn about a variety of energies by conducting fun experiments yourselves.
