Ganjaku Castle

See Huge Rocks and the Ruins!

Ganjaku Castle once stood on the summit of Mt. Ganjaku (454 m) in the town of Soeda, and defended the region from 1158 to 1615. Although the castle itself was lost, its ruins and huge rocks can still be seen, making it a popular climbing course!
After climbing, head to Soeda Park, an 11-minute drive from the trailhead. Inside the park is a restored castle tower hosting an art museum and observation deck. You can also enjoy a bath with a view and unwind for just 340 yen at Soeda Joy, which is designed to look like a castle.
Stunning autumn foliage also appears around mid-November at Soeda Park and the nearby Soeda Shrine.
