Wasshoi Hyakuman Summer Festival

The Wasshoi Hyakuman Summer Festival began in 1988 on the 25th anniversary of Kitakyushu’s establishment as a municipality.
Starting with the “Boat Heaven” expo held on Ocean Day (July 20) in the Mojiko Retro, visitors will find a myriad of events to enjoy at the main event in the city, from the various Yamakasa displays at the “Summer Festival Roundup” to the “Hyakuman Odori” dance of around 10 thousand participants, and, of course, the grand finale: a display of nearly 3,000 fireworks!
