Cherry Blossoms at Sugino Baba in Akizuki

秋月杉の馬場の桜

The cherry trees along Sugino Baba Street, which leads to the Akizuki Castle Ruins, form a 500-meter tunnel of Somei Yoshino blossoms, attracting many visitors. The Akizuki Spring Festival is usually held on the first Sunday of April, featuring performances such as Kozuki-style taiko drumming and Hayashi-style large handheld cannon demonstrations.

The illumination has been canceled for 2026.

Please note that Sugino Baba Street is not a pedestrian-only road and is also used by vehicles.
