Overlooking the Kaho Alps, a Certified Japanese Mountain Heritage Site
Kama City is easily accessible, located about an hour’s drive from both Kitakyushu City and Fukuoka City. The area is also known for its natural beauty, with the Kaho Alps, a designated Japanese Mountain Heritage Site, stretching across its landscape. The Ashijiro area overlooks those very Kaho Alps. A former elementary school that has been converted into a lodging facility, turning it into a convenient hub for exploring the surrounding area.

This region is home to many apple and pear farms. Visitors can pick different seasonal fruits depending on the time of year.

Events such as footpath walks are held on occasion.
<Stay>
Kahoalpe is a former elementary school building that has been renovated to serve as guest accommodations. It has 17 guest rooms in total, in addition to a multipurpose meeting room. Lodging only: From 5,000 yen per adult per night (tax included). *Please note that an accommodation tax of 200 yen per night is charged separately. Accommodations are available for families and group retreats.
